On June 25-27, 2024, Los Angeles City hosted RAPID+TCT 2024 at the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC). Rapid has become a hub for innovators, manufacturers, and industry leaders in the additive manufacturing sector. Known for its blend of culture, technology, and creativity, Los Angeles provided the perfect backdrop for the technological innovation of Rapid+TCT.

As an established leader in additive manufacturing, 3DEO is based right here in Los Angeles’s South Bay. The company specializes in high-quality metal 3D printing solutions and serves sectors ranging from aerospace to medical devices. 3DEO’s proximity to the event allowed us to extend a special invitation to our longtime customers and partners. These factory visits were opportunities for our guests to experience the precision and innovation that drive our operations.

In Case You Missed It: Top Trends from RAPID+TCT 2024

In a landscape as fast-evolving as additive manufacturing, keeping up with the latest trends is crucial. Here are the top five trends from RAPID+TCT 2024 that are setting the direction for the 3D printing sector:

  1. Sustainability in 3D Printing: There was a significant focus on developing eco-friendly materials and processes. Their hope was aimed at reducing waste and energy consumption across manufacturing operations.
  2. Advanced Software Integration: The use of AI and sophisticated design software is revolutionizing how products are designed for additive manufacturing.
  3. Customization at Scale: With improvements in speed and precision, 3D printing is increasingly used for mass customization, offering unique solutions without sacrificing efficiency.
  4. Material Innovations: New materials, including advanced metals and composites, are expanding the applications of 3D printing in industries like aerospace and biomedical.
  5. Collaborative Manufacturing: Enhanced collaboration platforms are facilitating co-creation among teams, speeding up the design-to-production cycle and fostering innovation across geographical boundaries.

Enhancing Connection Through Technology

3DEO’s participation in RAPID+TCT 2024 underscored our dedication to leading in the additive manufacturing sector. Additionally, Rapid provided the company with invaluable insights and networking opportunities. Not only did the event serve as a platform for sharing, but also as a fertile ground for forming new, strategic partnerships.

In addition, 3DEO hosted an intimate presentation at our booth focused on Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) for the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA). This setting allowed us to engage closely with participants, sharing our tailored strategies and innovations. It was an opportunity to dive deep into the nuances of DfAM, demonstrating our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the industry.
